Question:

I would like your opinion on using heating cables on the water pipes under the cottage/home. We are here until Christmas and return mid March - maybe sooner.

Answer:

The heating cables work very well but make sure you install them according to instructions on the package. If the turns are too close together, they can form an inductance coil (electric motor) and cause a fire.
