Question:

I own a house which is built at 1989. Since the day first we bought the house at 1998 we were dealing with the very cold master bedroom in winters and very hot temperture in summers although the heat and air condition are on. I've to say that our master bedroom has farest distance to the furnace. The flow of heat is good from 2 on floor windows (one in room and one in on-suite bathroom), All winters I cover the windows with plastic to prevent the cold entering the room. There is also a return air exit in this room as well. All the walls and even the bed are very cold.

Answer:

Tuning the furnace ducts will better distribute the heat and cold. When you line the windows with platic, the sheets should be stuck to the drywall around the window trim because most of your air exfiltration takes place between the wood trim and drywall.
