Question:

I am told that my oil tank is 25 years old and my insurance will not cover it. Instead of replacing the tank, should I convert to gas heating. I live in Ottawa (ON). My oil furnace is about 12 years old?

Answer:

I've always been in favour of natural gas for a fuel because we own it (and to a given point control costs) and it doesn't have to be brought in from another country.
