Question:

We have recently gutted and renovated our bathroom and want to put in some crown moulding all around, even in the shower area. The walls are ceramic and the enclosure is glass but only to 1' from ceiling. What type of moulding would you recommend. I am partial to (?) but am concerned about moisture. Also what is the best primer, oil or latex?

Answer:

I would not put any more mouldings into a bathroom than absolutely necessary because of the moisture situation. That being said, I have no idea of what the product you suggest is so perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself. If it attracts or holds or permits moisture, it is not meant for a bathroom.
