Question:

Would you please tell me what the recommended humidity level is for a normal house? And what would you recommend to keep the humidistat at?

Answer:

The norm is between 30% and 50% but in the cold you'll have trouble getting up to 30 and in the heat of summer, 50 will probably be out of reach of the other end of the scale. Try setting the humidistat fo 40% and that will probably do you all year.
