I have plywood over the insulation in the attic. The attic trusses are 6" thick and I believe the original owner added an additional 2x4 before covering the insulation with plywood to use as storage space. I was told that I should remove this plywood (or it would ruin the insulation). Is this necessary?
Answer:
It is only dangerous if the insulation under it is being compressed because as soon as you compress it, it starts to lose its effectiveness.
