Well why not jump in both feet first I say. Our back entrance to our house is,well, poor at best. I want to tackle installing the door. Can it be that hard? Of course there must be 1 important thing to remember when starting this project. I'm pretty handy with the tools, and it gives me an opportunity to buy some new tools as well. Any tips before I dive in? What should I use to insulate the gap around the door frame - spray foam or regular insulation?

Remember that if you have a metal prime door you'll have to give it special considerationb efore putting a storm door over it. I like the old fibre insulation around doors and windows because too many of the foam products are temerature sensitive and they'll shrink back just when I need them the most. Good luck!
