Question:

I installed a fan in my washroom with a 4" goose neck on the roof. Should there be a loop in my insulated hose or should it go straight out ?

Answer:

I'd certainly put a goose neck in the hose and also make sure it is well insulated from the attic floor to the roof sheathing.
