Question:

My bathroom ceiling fan drips water sometimes. I went into the attic and noticed it was a flex duct that was tied up to a rafter and back down again to face a ventilation louvred opening at the end of the attic. I took it down from the rafter and buried most of it in the insulation and pointed it straight out the louvered opening. I am still getting dripping and I'm not sure if the wind blowing in forces the moisture back down to the fan or if I need to point the exhaust end downward through a soffit vent?

Answer:

The hose must lead warm, humid air through the soffit and not only into or toward it. If it is still dripping, I feel you may have an air leak somewhere and/or perhaps not enough insulation over the duct. There should be at least eight inches of bat insulation there.
