If you have a crawl space and you find the floor cold, don't insulate the floor - insulate the walls! My question is,what if this UNHEATED space had a concrete floor instead of just a dirt floor? Could I then insulate the floor as well as the walls without fear of trapped moisture?
Answer:
Insulating either floor in a case like this is useless to you. If you insulate the concrete floor, yu\ou probably attract and retain moisture and if you insulate the house floor, you'll certainly attract moisture and rot the wood.
