My husband insulated one short wall in our basement (about 4-5 feet long) to the floor and then drywalled it. I understood that you were supposed to stop short of the floor. Is this going to be okay or does he need to take off the drywall and remove some of the insulation?
A short distance like that should not become a problem. Even when whole basements are insulated this way sme feel it is not worth the bother to take everything down to remove the bottom eight inches.
