Expert Q
Question:
Wall construction is basically 10 inch block and some white brick. Strapping with aluminum foil insulation, 1/2 inch wall board and a small baseboard, louvered shutter doors on closets. Will drying up the wall be adequate to clean up the problem. So far the odour if confined as with a bed pushed against the wall, was noticeable in the bedding.
Answer:
The first thing is to dry things up and then make sure it stays dry by addressing the drainage system with all kinds of extra considerations.
