Question:

What precautions should I take while removing asbestos floor tiles which are about 45 years old?

Answer:

Wear a mask that is meant to protect from both gasses and fibres and provide a lot of ventilation. The room should also be well sealed off from the rest of the house so the asbestos particles don't migrate.
