Question:

I have a 5X7 ft. bathroom plaster and gypsum board walls and I need all the space I can get. I figure I can gain at least an inch per wall if I clean things off to the studs. I went to the rental place and they suggested a handheld concrete/masonry saw with a 10 inch blade. Noisy and dusty, I know. Safety-wise - I am concerned. What do you think? In the meantime, I'll try my pry-bar.

Answer:

Safety is just one question. How about ingesting all that dust (asbestos included) and getting what you don't ingest out of the furniture and carpets, etc. The pry bar may take longer (and its still dusty) but it just may be your better option.
