Question:

During heavy downpours when the wind is going in a certain direction, we get water pockets in one of our walls on the second floor of our townhouse. The water pocket is in a horizontal straight line, about two feet long. Initially, we thought that the water came in at the area where the neighbors' roof joins our external wall, however a roofing company looked at it and added caulking in that spot but it hasn't fixed the problem. We know you don't recommend any companies on the air, but we're at our wits end. We want to get this problem resolved before we put our house up for sale.

Answer:

I suggest you get in touch with someone who installs windows becuase the leak appears to be somewhere on either side of above a window in the area. If its not that, the soffits are not going all the way up to the shingles and water is entering through there.
