Question:

I have a problem with my bathroom floor. I laid new vinyl down about four years ago, it is a light color. We bought a bath mat set with a rubber backing and it has stained the floor a brownish color the size of the bath mat set. We are hoping that there is some way of removing this stain.

Answer:

Actually, there isn't because the bath mat only activated the oil in the oil-based vinyl flooring and now it has started to bleed up through it. No matter what people say or do, this happens with all light coloured vinyl floors and there isn't a thing to be done about it.
