Question:

I still have a question on water resistant wallboard... My tub (just pulled out)walls had plywood on the first six or so inches before the drywall started. Is this a good idea or a waste of time?

Answer:

If you're going to use plywood at all, why would you not use it all the way? The water resistant wallboard is a good product and costs less.
