Question:

We are looking to remove the tile in the tub area and installing a tub "surround wall" and replace taps and shower head. Is it better to remove all tiles or make wall (top) flush with tiles then install "tub wall"?

Answer:

Not only the tiles should come off. The drywall behind them and then the insulation and vapour barrier can be replaced before the new unit goes in.
