Question:

which is better drawers made of melamine or those with melamine and metal along the sliding side.
Do you have any info for people who are remodeling their kitchen. How do you decide on the quality of the cabinetry all the dealers seem to offer similar constuction.

Answer:

You'll never beat the drawers with the metal sliders and the cabinets are best made of fibre-board as that doesn't warp. I like the doors to be either edge-laminated wood or fibre-board for the same reason.
