Question:

A friend heard you mention a product that can be used to cover up bathroom tiles with a less than desirable pattern! Said pattern is only on about one third of the tiles. Our local paint store has vinyl sheets one can use on tiles, but not where they will be exposed to water.

Answer:

In cases like this, I've applied very flexible sheet vinyl flooring and it worked very well. You can make it go as high or as low as you want and the patterns are all but infinite. Use ordinary flooring adhesive on a squeaky clean surface and if you do it all in one piece, you won't even have any seams threatening to leak with time.
