Question:

we live in a mobile home, and we were thinking of putting in a tub surround,do we have to remove the old wall that now surrounds it?we also have little damp holes where the tub meets the wall, I have filled these in with caulking,so it can dry out first before we install a surround did I do right by filling these holes in.

Answer:

You'll be better off to remove the old stuff because if you do not, the moisture trapped behind it will start to cause all kinds of mold and milldew.
