Question:

I have a hair line crack in my foundation, it runs from the footings to the top of the foundation. What is the best way to fill in this crack? I know you have mentioned a product that you were going to test for such a problem.

Answer:

Until those people get back to I won't be giving out their name because its been more than a month since I asked them for more information and they have not been forthcoming. My fear is that they might know something that I don't and it may have something negative to do with the product itself. You might check with someone locally and get the crack fixed with epoxy injection. You might also do it yourself by digging down to the footings on the outside, chipping out the crack to a depth of 1.5" in a V shape. Soak the daylights out of the rough surface your chipping created and then trowel in a fast drying masonry patch. You can then apply a fibreglass patch (like an auto body kit) and then tar parge over it. Once you back fill all this, you can be sure it won't leak there again.
