Question:

My hallway walls are a thin layer of plaster over old crumbly brick. I am trying to hang a coat rack on this wall. I have tried a few different types of plastic anchors but the brick will not hold the anchors.

Answer:

Hopefully a good adhesive will work because if you try hammering something into the brick, its liable to disintigrate completely and that's not a good thing.
