Question:

My garage floor is 8 years old and has shifted somewhat. As a result whenever the car has water or snow melting off it, the water pools in one area, and taht area is right where I get out of the car. Can I drill a 1" hole in the floor and let the water drain out? Am I going to have any long term effects by doing this? Would really appreciate a reply to this question,as both myself and my wife are tired of getting our feet wet and tracking the water in the house.

Answer:

I'd certainly drill the hole. There should be no long-term effect and if there is, the hole can always be plugged.
