Question:

What do you prefer to use to attach framing to the concert floor - the bolts put in before the concert is hard or the ones where you drill a hole after the concert is hard. I have heard about a new concert that is mixed with fibbers and if this is used, the need to use wire mesh to re-enforce the concert is not required. Have you heard about this?

Answer:

The bolts that are installed as the concrete is poured are easier and much more stable in the end. I've heard of several different ways of doing things but, like you'll have to, I always defer to my local building authority so they can tell me whether a given system is acceptable in my area or not. To my way of thinking, I'd want to know what the fibre is and whether it is environmentally friendly. If it isn't, you can count on your local authorities telling you that you can't use it.
