The only sad part is that i can't sleep in on saturdays. my question is about getting california ceiling texture in my basement ceiling. It's only 12X18 area and I would love to do it myself but I can't find anyone at the local hardware stores to guide me.

Try getting in touch with someone who specializes in decorative ceilings. They'll know all about where to find things like this.
