A car left a nasty skid mark on my fairly new asphalt driveway a couple weeks ago. It was repaved almost a year ago. I believe skid marks disappear over-time with rain but is there a way to remove it quicker? If not, how long will it take to disappear by staring at it? I found a lot of info on solvents for concrete but not asphalt.
Answer:
Any solvent that neutralizes the skid mark will do the same thing to the asphalt so I'd let the sun look after it. It should be gone in a couple of months - whether you keep your eyes on it or not.
