We are finding that our central vac is lacking in the power department. The unit itself seems ok and our suspicion is somethng is clogged somewhere in the pipes. Would you have some type of trick to figure out if and where the problem lies in the tubing somewhere?

About the only way you'll find out is with an electrician's snake. Put it in there so its travelling downward. When you find the obstruction mark the snake and measure so you can get a things via the shortest distance.
