Question:

My young child place a plactic toy into a electric baseboard heater. Without knowledge that this was done the heat was turned on. Of course this cause the article to melt and create a strong smell. What I would like to know is it possible to remove what is left on the unit - element in a safe matter or does the unit have to be replaced.

Answer:

Not the whole unit but the element will probably be replaced before you're happy.
