I'm kinda stuck in terms of where I can vent my basement bathroom fan. It really seems like the only place for it to go is the attached garage, can I do this or will I be in for a bathroom that draws in smells from the garage?
Answer:
It might not feed back fumes but it certainly will rust anything corrodable in the garage - been there, done that and sold the car. If you use rigid ducts you should be able to vent a 11o CFM fan through a wall within twenty feet or so.
