I ironed a tablecloth that was on top of a wooden dining room table that was covered with a quilted table pad. The steam penetrated the quilted areas on the table pad and left steam marks on the tabletop. What can be used to remove these marks hopefully without damaging the finish on the tabletop? We have tried lemon oil and this has made only a slight difference.
Answer:
Try rubbing a bit of rubbing alcohol on the stain and then blowing it all away with the hair dryer. It worked for me.
