I listen to your show as often as I can on GTO 960 in Kingston, Ontario You are so smart! I can't believe one person can know so much about so many things. I have a "white" mark (about 4"x4") on my oak table. It just appeared there on Saturday evening and no one knows how! and I have heard your "formula" for removing these marks but, because I have not written it down, I forget. I'm the type that needs to know every little detail on how to do things, i.e. dab, rub, pour, paper towel, sponge, cloth etc.
Answer:
It doesn't have to be anything hot, anything that will create a partial vacuum under it will do the same thing. Try dabbing a bit of rubbing alcohol on the spot and then blowing it away with the hair dryer. That's worked for many in the past and your stain appears to be quite new so you should have no problem with it.
