Question:

I am planning to build a small bungalow 24'x 40' this year and don't have access to natural gaz. I was wondering which fuel should I go with, oil, propane or geothermal(well to well). Can you recommend a system and why.

Answer:

Depending on where you live, the geothermal unit may be your best (and most expensive to install) system. You might check with your local building authority (city hall) regarding government grants for the different systems too but when all else is calculated and trouble starts, I'll go for the porpane unit every time becasue while they're all good, the propane tank needs filling only about once a year so running out of fuel does not become a problem.
