We purchased a home about 6 years ago. We bought it off a little old lady, who was widowed for over 20 years. Needless to say little was done to upkeep the house. We find we are faced with many projects and cannot priortize which should be done first. We had a home inspection and overall the house is solid. Could we hire you as a consultant to help prioritize our projects and forcast some overall costs ie) new furnace over new windows, fix foundation before new asphaulted driveway etc. What would you charge for such a service?

Whether other companies were involved or not, the information I could give you is free of charge. You have but to submit (via e mail) the list of things you feel you need done and I'll try to help. You mention the furnace and because most companies are in the process of storing such things, this might well be one of the first on you list. Its better the sell at a good price than to bother storing.
In the interests of retaining credibility and in fairness to all, I cannot recommend prices, people nor companies for various projects.
Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
