Question:

I am building an addition and have decided with pre-finished board and batten siding, however the grade on one side does not allow me to install the siding down to the concrete foundation, so I was wondering if there was some product I could use that I could cover the chipboard sheathing material above the concrete foundation to be able to raise the grade level on this side of the house for better draining as well as installing the siding higher above grade?

Answer:

A heavy coat of wood preservative covered by an aluminum sheet would probably do it for you.
