Question:

My building has aluminum siding that is about 15 years old and looking rundown. We were considering painting and wondered how well this will work and what preparation is required. There is also galvanized flashing which peels constantly. Is there a way to get paint to adhere better?

Answer:

There are preparations for both aluminum and galvanized metal. The good quality paint you buy will have instructions on the can for both.
