Top > Paint > Parging

Question:

I have recently had repairs done to the parging on my block foundation. The repairs were supposed to blend in with the original parging but are actually a different color (darker). Should I paint the exposed part of the foundation? What with? Should I try to have paint matched with the color of the original parging?

Answer:

It is all but impossible to colour-match parging so once it has to be repaired, all of it will normally have to be painted for the sake of aesthetics. There are all kinds of exterior masonry paints ont he market and all you have to do is follow the instructions ont he container.
