Question:

We have windows with frames that have been stained a long time ago. Each time we have tried to paint them, the paint peels off within a few weeks or months. Is there any way to treat the wood so that we can keep the paint from peeling off?

Answer:

This has to be in the preparation. Like all other paint jobs, you do 75% of the work in preparation and the rest is just applying paint. Make sure your surfaces are clean and very dry before priming and then paint. If you still have a problem, then its the paint and your supplier should stand behind that.
