Question:

the previous owners had painted the tub, it is now starting to peel off, the tub underneath is in good shape, i think they were just wanting to change colours...... what is my best option to get all the paint off,i have been able to scrap away the bottom and some of the sides, but it seems to be getting harder and im not too sure about the outer side/top.So any advice would be greatly apreciated, we are planning on just keeping it the original colour once this is off.

Answer:

Ordinary paint remover should work for you but scraping is going to damage the baked on enamal and that is what you don't want.
