Question:

I have discovered under a carpet that the pine floor is painted with lead paint (we had it tested) - what should we do? - we have a 2 yr. old child in the house so we want no airborne lead dust - is it best to just seal it with a sealant (what kind?) and cover it with flooring of some kind?

Answer:

I'd probably put on a seamless vinyl product to seal it underneath. The day may come when you still have to remove it.
