Question:

Home is approx. 3 years old. We believe there are mice in the attic because there are drywall, plaster, paper 'crumbs' on the floor below the fan in one of the bathrooms, and we hear rustling. What should we do?

Answer:

You can be sure there's a mouse in there and a smart one at that. It's nesting next to the only real source of heat in the attic - fan housing. You can put bait up there and you can get the kind that besides causing the critter's demise, burns up the body so there's no odour. You should do this fairly soon because the mouse can, and will, create its own odour and that'll be harder to get rid of.
