Question:

I've robbed a closet from an adjacent bedroom to add a walkin shower stall to the main floor bathroom. I wish to connect the shower drain to the existing drain for the sink which is vented. Does the shower drain require a separate vent if the tee connection is within 3 feet horizonally of the sink vent stack?

Answer:

Yes it does.
