Question:

Our new home will be built using cross-linked polyethaling tubing instead of traditional copper. Is there more advantages or disadvantges with the use of this tubing?

Answer:

To me, the advantage is ease of installation. The DIY-er's problems come when he tries to modify it. You need special equipment to add T's and such.
