City boy bought cottage,oops mistake 1. Run hot & cold water full blast in bathtup,water stops running when tub 3/4 full. Never did this before. 15 seconds later water runs again for a while then stops. New well was drilled near me in the fall by a new house. If I turn the cold water flow down to 1/2 full tub fills ok. Best guess-by city boy water level low,pipe sucks air or stops until flow refills well,I have good flow because it doesn't take long. My pipe should be more under water in the well. Any chance the water level will go up, Was the new well responsible? Am I way off base?
I think your first thought is right on. Water in most areas does not run in veins. Rather, it runs via cracks between rocks and its very possible that 'shocking' your well would improve things.
