Question:
I have a century farm house with a well. Five weeks ago the pump was turning on and off every 5 sec and the plumber came, said the tank was water logged, and re-pressurized it. The tank is about 6 yr. old. This week the pump was starting to come on too frequently again. I re-pressurized the tank myself and once again the problem is solved. Why am I having this trouble with this tank?
Answer:
Perhaps it is not the pressure that you're dealing with. It could also be a foot valve that needs to be replaced. This will increase the pressure problem too.
