We recently had some pumbing done so after turning off the water and restarting it we lost pressure in the upsatairs bathroom in both hot and cold taps. We changed the faucet and now have cold water pressure but very little hot water pressure. I'm assuming this might be due to lime or calcium deposits breaking off and clogging the pipe somewhere in the system. Is ther any way to backflush the system to regain pressure without calling a plumber.
Answer:
It could also be due to a line valve or two not being completely open. About all you can do if there is debris caught in the lines is to shut the woter off, remove valve stems, and while someone holes a bucket or some such over top of the tap, turn the water back on a bit - just enough to wash the debris out. Do not turn it on completely or it will blow bucket and assitant into another postal code area.
