I have a 2 story house that is 16 years old. There are 2 full baths on the second floor that are back to back. In just one of the bathrooms, the hot water tap for the sink and shower, if turned on to a medium flow make a high pitched sound (this, of course, is the level of water flow that is most often used). If turned down or up the noise stops. Do you know what would cause this and how I can fix it? Heeeeeeeeelp, it's driving me nuts!
Answer:
This has more to do with tightening up the washer at the end of that stem than anything else. If its a single control valve, you might want to put a new kit into it.
