Question:

Here's one for the "dumb" reno's file- what not to do. Just finished tiling small bath. had to raise toilet-put small towel in waste pipe hole - after all said & done, everything replaced & working- remembered hrs later that I forgot to take the towel out. Do I go back to sq. 1? or leave as is until something starts backing up ? All 3 toilets work, no problem flushing. A stumped DIYer

Answer:

If it flushes, the towel is most likely gone so you can rest easy.

In the interests of retaining credibility and in fairness to all, I cannot recommend prices, people nor companies for various projects.

Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
