We have a 6 year old home. A couple of years ago the toilets started making noises like a sighing coming from the tank. It started out doing this every hour or so, but has increased in frequency to every 15 minutes. The flapper seems OK and I ca.'t see any water overfow. Any Ideas?

perhaps with age the tower in there has collected some debris and needs to be wiped clean. The float ball could also have built up sediment and tht lowers it so it too, should be wiped clean.
