If I have remodeling done in my home and the contract says "rough wiring or rough plumbing" what would this include? Would it only be wiring to the outlet and all face plates, etc I would have to install. On the plumbing side would this include faucets, shower head etc or would I have to do this part.
Answer:
There are a number of interpretations of these terms. My understanding is that rough wiring would have each circuit wired to a single recepticle and you would have to do the take-off from there to plugs, lights and switches. Rough plumbing to me, means no toilet flange, no sinks nor hook-ups to anything but supply lines would be there for you to un-cap and attach sink, etc. supply lines to. There certainly would not be sinks, tub, toilet, faucets, shower heads, etc. It wouldn't even include an outside water bib.
